Our Story
D&P Creekside Farm’s rich history dates back to the 1800s, around the time Bellwood was founded. Many years, and three different owners later, we had the opportunity to purchase the 68 acres of farmland in 2007.
As a family, we decided to expand the farm in 2015 and established a business featuring horseback riding lessons, camps, pony rides, parties/events, and trail rides. Over the years, we received a lot of feedback on what the public really wanted from D&P Creekside Farm. We have now started doing parties and camps, and introduced our own handcrafted product line. The current product line includes soaps and candles - more coming soon!
Today, D&P Creekside Farm is completely family owned and operated with horses, goats, alpacas, mini-pigs, bunnies, and a handful of chickens. Thank you for checking us out and welcome to our farm!
Meet the Horses!
-
Moonshine
This guy is the best beginner pony ever! He rides English or Western style, and he also drives. Moonshine is our primary face of D&P Creekside Farm. If we are there, Moonshine is there too!
-
Risko
Risko is our other ride or die pony! If we are there, Risko is there too. He rides English or Western, and also drives. Risko originally was an Amish pony from Lancaster, but has since turned into a very loving lesson pony. Risko is our go to for special needs kids as well! He is as gentle as they come and as sweet as honey.

Timber
Our boy, Timber, is a 21 year old Appaloosa Gelding from Georgia. In 2019, after a long battle, he lost his eye to cancer and then took the next 2 years off. Now, he’s happy at the farm as a semi-retired pony that teaches kids the English discipline of riding.
-
Aztec
Aztec is a 19 year old Paint Gelding who has the most fun-loving personality. He’s competed in gaming, show jumping, and eventing. Aztec also drives and pulls the occasional kiddo on a sled through the snow! Unfortunately, he does have heaves (a.k.a. asthma); so, he is mostly retired. However, he will sometimes be pulled out of retirement to replace a lesson horse or pony ride if needed! He also rides English or Western.

Sunshine
Sunshine was an endurance horse and then used for equine therapy (kids with special needs). Today, she is loving her job as a lesson pony. She also rides English or Western. Sunshine is our more advanced pony, in need of a confident and assertive rider.
“April 20, 2025 marks ten years of serving communities near and far. We specialize in providing your children with experiences and memories to last a lifetime. We started as a boarding facility, but we wanted to do more. Now, we get to bring joy to kids every single day. Moving forward, we are continuing to focus on providing even more fun and memories for everyone!”
